The 3rd edition of the make imake it happen, owerrit happen business conference is set to happen in Owerri on the 4th of October, 2014.

The conference is a gathering of different business professionals and aspiring young entrepreneurs. It provides a great avenue for young people to learn from people who are very successful in various businesses and social ventures.

The convener, Jeph Akaehie is a US certified business coach who has had years of experience in successfully running, managing and developing small and medium enterprises. He has also helped so many of his clients have a sharp turn around through application of his various strategic business models and principles.
He runs the Power Edge group with other successful companies under it. This conference is one of the avenues he uses to mentor and encourage young people to start and successfully run their own businesses. He also organizes the Business Growth Masterclass series where he also brings together experts from various business sectors to share strategic principles of successfully running business ventures. The last class held at Imo Concorde hotel, Owerri.

In a chat with AlaOwerri.com, he regretted the tragedies that happened during the NIS screening exercise across the nation. He hopes to prevent such things from happening again by empowering young people with quality information. Knowledge and mentorship that will help them become successful business owners. According to him, his whole passion and drive for organizing the conference is not just to give this information, but to ensure they are put into action.

He has successfully organized the program 2 times in Owerri with thousands of youths benefiting from the quality information and knowledge shared. Past speakers have been drawn from different areas of the society including the internationally acclaimed motivational speaker, Steve Harris. Some of the past participants also shared their experiences with us.

In the lineup of quality resource persons and speakers for this year’s conference is Grace Ihejiamaizu, a social entrepreneur with great passion for young people. She is the founder of Opportuniitydesk.org, a website with thousands of resources, information and opportunities to help young people develop. She was one of the speakers at Rise Network’s National Youth forum held in Owerri last year.
