The Paradigm initiative Nigeria has launched its Digital Jobs project to help Nigerian youths connect with jobs opportunities in the information and communication technology industry.
The project which has been in the developmental stage for some time will enable youths with ICT skills find jobs they can easily do online and earn their money hassle free. The project has already received endorsement from notable and influential Nigerians including Prof. Pat Utomi, Oby Ezekwesili and others. They called on Nigerian youths to come and be part of the initiative.
The platform provides long term mentorship, hands on training, support and guidance for members.
According to Mr Paul Adepoju, a tech journalist and founding partner of HealthNewsNG.com, the initiative will help to improve the socio-economic status of the country and will also encourage the Nigerian young people make positive use of their creative potentials.
Nnamdi Umeh, Managing Director at Nadel Bitmaps technologies believes the initiative will help produce people who are ready for the labor market which is 80 percent dependent on the use of digital skills and tools.
With so many fake work from home websites offering easy money, it’s welcoming to see people and organizations we can relate with offering genuine opportunities and mentorship.
It is no doubt that this won’t be a quick fix for poverty but one that will reward hard work and commitment.
