Participants at the just concluded, first ever Owerri Internet Income Forum were full of excitement and exhilarating experiences at the exponential and unusual skills, information and knowledge they garnered for empowerment.
The 3-day event, organized by Cherrybrooks, Digitalspace Radio and Palmnet Consults; was held between 5th – 7th May, 2015 at Benchmark Hotel, Oduobi Crescent, Ikenegbu, Owerri. It attracted several high profile personalities from the State Government, the media, organized private sector and hundreds of participants.
The first day featured a phone-in radio programme at Hot Fm; strategically to inform and educate the public on the unlimited stream of income and opportunities in internet business and to prepare the minds of the participants. This was followed with introductory session where various models for multiple streams of income on the internet were discussed. The following day dwelled on practical exercises on models like digital marketing, local business marketing, online survey, mini importation and freelancing. “The Best” was reserved for the last day as money-spinning models- Blogging, YouTube, Social Media platforms and Adsence- were practically dissected much to the delight of the participants. Although plans to stream the sessions live on media platforms failed, participants received qualitative training as the sessions were projected in a large format and broadband free internet was provided.
Participants were allowed to ask questions intermittently in order to assimilate both the theoretical and practical aspects of the forum. Aside notes, slides and explanations, assignments; key materials and several links for downloads were provided for the participants. In a more copious gesture, participants also received freebies like T-shirts, brand products and lunch.
The Chief Resource persons- David Olumuyiwa and Daniel Chinagozi, who imparted the participants in world-class and unique style, commended the audience for their passion and commitment all through the 3-day program. Because of public demand, the resource persons who base in Lagos promised to return to Owerri in June for a greater package.
