It has become a total nightmare for commuters plying the Poly/Ihiagwa Road.

Refuse dumps there have virtually covered the road leaving just a part of it open to commuters. Residents who were interviewed said they have to leave their houses very early in the morning and make sure they come home before a certain time to avoid the traffic that builds up from that area.

A few meters ahead as you move towards Federal Polythecnic Nekede, there is a pothole that is fast turning into a ditch; some have blamed the narrow nature of the road, the fact that sub-standard materials were used in the construction and that commuters have to share the road with heavy duty vehicles and appealed to the Imo State government for help.
